Last night I decided I needed something really sweet and yummy to eat, like a cookie, but I was way under calories for the day. I also wanted to be able to have something I could grab throughout the day or as a quick breakfast that would still work with my diet. So I looked up some ideas, went into the kitchen, and came up with these protein balls. Oh boy, are they yummy! So I thought I would share what I did for you to enjoy!
Protein balls
First, gather all of your ingredients.
You will need: Uncooked oats, honey, peanut butter, vanilla or chocolate isalean shake, chocolate chips (optional), and a bowl and spoon.
Pour into your bowl one cup of uncooked oats.
Followed by a scoop of isalean. I used chocolate. Either work!
Then, two tablespoons of chocolate chips (optional: you can opt out completely or add in other items! Whatever you'd like!)
Add in 1/4 cup of honey. Then add in 1/2 cup of peanut butter (I am not sure where the picture for that went!)
Mix all together into a ball (you may need to use your hands to finish it.)
Form into 16 one inch sized balls (or flatten them out a bit for a more cookie like appearance) and place them on parchment paper.
Pop them into the fridge for a few minutes and then transfer them into a storage container to be stored in the refrigerator.
And thats all there is to it! They are seriously so good, I am eating one right now as I type this. When you are ready to eat one just pull one out and eat it. No need to let it sit out or anything. The best part? They are only 102 calories! Grab one for a snack or two or three for breakfast on the go. Thank me later!
Thanks for reading! If you try them let me know what you think!
Hugs and loves,
Mariah
